Project Activities and Intellectual Outputs

The Pathways to Employment project encompasses a range of activities and will produce several intellectual outputs designed to support autistic youth in their journey towards employment. These are developed collaboratively by our partner organizations and are aligned with the project's core objectives of skill development, awareness raising, and fostering inclusive environments.

Key Project Results (Intellectual Outputs)

PR1: Transnational Research Report

A comprehensive transnational research report examining employment barriers faced by autistic youth across six European countries. The report analyses existing support systems, identifies key challenges in the labour market, and highlights best practices for inclusive employment. It serves as the foundational evidence base for all subsequent project activities.

PR2: Open Access MOOC

A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) designed to be freely accessible to autistic young people, youth workers, and employers. The MOOC provides interactive learning modules covering employability skills, workplace communication, self-advocacy, and inclusive practices. It is designed for flexible, self-paced learning and is available in multiple languages.

PR3: Tailored Training Curriculum

A specialised training curriculum developed to equip autistic young people with essential workplace skills, communication techniques, and strategies for navigating professional environments. The curriculum is tailored to address the specific needs identified in the transnational research and provides structured, guided learning pathways for youth workers and educators to deliver in their local contexts.

A practical handbook for youth workers, educators, and career counselors. This resource provides guidance, tools, and strategies for effectively supporting autistic youth in their career development and job-seeking efforts. PR5: HR Compendium for Inclusive Employment (for SMEs)

A comprehensive guide for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) on creating inclusive recruitment processes and supportive work environments for autistic individuals. This compendium will offer practical advice, case studies, and resources to help employers tap into the diverse talent pool of autistic individuals.

Multiplier Events & Dissemination Workshops

Throughout the project lifecycle, a series of multiplier events and dissemination workshops will be organized in partner countries. These events will aim to share project findings, promote the intellectual outputs, and engage with stakeholders including autistic youth, families, educators, employers, and policymakers.
